Originally from Davanagere district, Yashasvini S.N. now resides in Bengaluru. A graduate in B.A. Journalism from the University of Mysore, she worked in Mysuru for a year as a reporter for The Times of India and later as a Business Proposal Writer at TCS.
In her free time, she enjoys reading Kannada books and discussing them with her mother, as well as reading storybooks to her daughter. The inspiration for her stories often comes from her daughter’s request: “Amma, tell me a new story.”
Yashasvini S.N.'s book Chinniya Rajayi is a sweet story about a little girl named Chinni. With colorful illustrations by Arun Prakash, this book is sure to capture the hearts of children.
ಮೂಲತಃ ದಾವಣಗೆರೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯವರಾದ ಯಶಸ್ವಿನಿ ಎಸ್ ಎನ್ ಈಗ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿ, ಮೈಸೂರು ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಬಿ ಎ ಜರ್ನಲಿಸಂ ಪದವೀಧರೆಯಾದ ಇವರು ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ವರ್ಷ 'ದಿ ಟೈಮ್ಸ್ ಆಫ್ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಿಪೋರ್ಟರ್ ಆಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಟಿಸಿಎಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಸಿನೆಸ್ ಪ್ರಪೋಸಲ್ ರೈಟರ್ ಆಗಿ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಬಿಡುವಿನ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಓದಿಕೊಂಡು ತಾಯಿಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಹಾಗೂ ಮಗಳಿಗೆ ಕತೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳನ್ನು ಓದುವುದು ಇವರಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾದ ಕೆಲಸ, ಇವರು ಬರೆದಿರುವ ಕತೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಸ್ಫೂರ್ತಿ ಇವರ ಮಗಳ “ಅಮ್ಮ ಹೊಸ ಕತೆ" ಎಂಬ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ.
ಯಶಸ್ವಿನಿ ಎಸ್ ಎನ್ ಅವರು ಬರೆದ 'ಚಿನ್ನಿಯ ರಜಾಯಿ' ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿನ್ನಿ ಎಂಬ ಪುಟ್ಟ ಹುಡುಗಿಯ ಮುದ್ದಾದ ಕತೆಯಿದ್ದು, ಅರುಣ್ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ ಬಿಡಿಸಿದ ಬಣ್ಣ ಬಣ್ಣದ ಚಿತ್ರವಿರುವ ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮನ ಸೆಳೆಯುವುದರಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮಾನವಿಲ್ಲ.
