"The two main things I liked about this story are the curiosity and empathy shown by the children. The three main characters in the story – Arya, Meera, and Appu – remind us of the children we see in our homes or neighborhoods. Their scooter games, secretly eating chocolates hidden from elders, always keeping some snacks in their pockets, and sweet-talking parents to get what they want – all of this is so relatable and endearing.

These three children join the older kids in the colony and take on exciting tasks out of love for the kittens. The character of the strict Colonel Uncle, whom the children fear, also leaves a lasting impression.

The author has done a wonderful job of capturing the minds and hearts of children in this book."

“ನನಗೆ ಈ ಕತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಷ್ಟ ಆದ ಎರಡು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳು ಎಂದರೆ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ತೋರುವ ಕುತೂಹಲ ಮತ್ತು ಸಹಾನುಭೂತಿ. ಈ ಕತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಮೂವರು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಪಾತ್ರಗಳು - ಆರ್ಯ, ಮೀರಾ ಮತ್ತು ಅಪ್ಪು,  ನಮ್ಮ ಮನೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ಸುತ್ತಮುತ್ತ ನೋಡಿರುವ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ನೆನಪಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಆಡುವ ಸ್ಕೂಟರ್ ಆಟ, ಹಿರಿಯರಿಂದ ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು ಚಾಕಲೇಟ್ ತಿನ್ನೋದು, ಜೇಬಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸದಾ ತಿನ್ನಲು ಏನಾದರೂ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು, ತಮ್ಮ ಕೆಲಸ ಆಗಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ಪೋಷಕರಿಗೆ ಪೂಸಿ ಹೊಡಿಯುವುದು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಇಷ್ಟವಾಗುತ್ತೆ.

ಈ ಮೂವರು ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಕಾಲೋನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಮಕ್ಕಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೇರಿ ಬೆಕ್ಕಿನ ಮರಿಗಳ ಮೇಲಿರುವ ಪ್ರೀತಿಗಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೆಲಸಗಳು ರೋಚಕವಾಗಿವೆ. ಕತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ, ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹೆದರುವ ಶಿಸ್ತಿನ ಕರ್ನಲ್ ಅಂಕಲ್ ಪಾತ್ರ ಮನಸಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿಯುತ್ತೆ.

ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮನಸನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಹಿಡಿಯುವಲ್ಲಿ ಲೇಖಕರು ಅದ್ಭುತ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ."
